no empty pitchers here…
This is a lesson that has been hard for me to learn. It is much easier to give and give then to say no…at least for me. Running on empty… Just about a year a go I started learning this the hard way. I was giving and giving, without any regard for my own health or well being until I couldn’t give anymore. I felt run down, tired and unable to do much of anything. A nap was a must everyday and I still couldn’t wait to go to bed early. I was missing out on so much with my family and friends. I tried to exercise, I changed my…

Believe ALWAYS!
Sometimes all you have is is what you believe in. Miracles are everywhere Growing up my mom and dad made sure to always help me to look at the bright side of things. As I got older they also helped me to learn to appreciate all of God’s miracles that are all around me. Some miracles are small like a flower blooming or how a caterpillar knows how to crawl. Then there are some BIG miracles like a child being born or someone being healed from a disease. There are also some miracles that maybe we don’t appreciate as a miracle, but they truly are. Everyday Miracles Miracles are…

give thanks
I believe this to be so, so true! The Hubby and I have had or fair share of troubles, some larger than others. Through them all we could always count on our Lord’s love. Sometimes it’s all we have… My heart grieves for all those that have been affected by the senseless actions in Orlando recently. I pray that the victims’s and their families will hold onto this promise. There may not be any understanding of why we go through challenges. Regardless, we can hold true to the fact that The Lord loves us and will continue to love us unconditionally. That is a promise I will take for sure.…

Father’s Day love
Father’s Day is just around the corner…like in just a few days and in my family my 2 brothers and I always claim to be the favorite of my parents. Now we all know deep down that I am the favorite, but they insist on making that claim as well. For this Father’s Day I wanted to do something real special for dad. I wanted to let him know just how good of a dad he has been, and this sign seemed like the perfect gift. I printed it out and put it in a frame so he can always remember how good of a dad he really is, and…

Chanel & Mammaw – lessons to live by
I have been a fan of CoCo Chanel for as long as I can remember. There was just something about the way she carried herself, and her inner strength that immediately drew me to her…and then of course there were her designs. I honestly have no words for her designs. My lifelong dream is to have my very own Chanel bag and suit…and trust me I would wear the chains off of both. Maybe one day but in the meantime I can at least try to remember the lessons she tried to pass on to all women, and this being one of my favorites. I had a great grandmother,…

hello new week…
I love Monday’s, the beginning of a new week! It is like the greatest start over day and to make it even better it comes around every 7 days. Each Monday I make a point to take some time Monday morning I take some time to sit write down and my accomplishments from the previous week, goals for the new week, some things I am thankful for and then I get to work. I just feel so energized and ready for a great week! Whether you have a Monday morning routine (or not) this colorful reminder is something good to remember for sure. Each new week can bring about great new things…

Do you ever have one of those days that you wake up and you just kinda feel blah? Well, I know I have and I wish I would have had this sign posted somewhere to remind me to be awesome. As simple as this sounds it can sometimes be very hard to remember…especially in the middle of a trial or uncertain time in your life. I learned this lesson when…

cherish every moment
Time can really fly by if your not careful. I can’t believe my nephew is already 2 years old and my niece will be one later this summer…before I know it he will be 6 and she will be 5…and I will be…well, that much older. One of the things I have learned since becoming an aunt is to really cherish every moment…and this quote says it perfectly. I challenge you, as I challenge myself, to really take time to enjoy all the little moments. Don’t get so busy with work, the chores or just other busy work to not take time to really cherish the special moments of the…
