Dill Pickle Dip…yes you read that right

Well it is Super Bowl Weekend!!  I can’t believe it is already February….this year is already flying by.

Party Time?!

What fun plans do you have this weekend?

I live in the Houston area so we are going to take in some of the fun Super Bowl activities and taking some time to chill out a bit with family.  We will be watching the Big Game from home and I know one thing that will be on the menu…Dill Pickle Dip!  Yes I said dill pickle dip.

Dill Pickle Dip?

Ok, so I know this may not be what you were expecting, but trust me it is AMAZING!  There is a local restaurant that we love called State Fare and if you are in the Houston area make sure to check it out.  Everything we have had is AMAZING!  My favorite appetizer is the Dill Pickle Dip…it is AMAZING!!

It is rich and creamy with a perfect amount of fresh dill & dill pickle in each bite.  Everything put together makes for a perfect bite and I can never get enough.  The restaurant pairs the dip with homemade salt & pepper chips, which were amazing but to be honest I could eat this dip with a spoon…it was so good.

It’s time to celebrate

Whether you are cheering for The Patriots or The Falcons this dip needs to be on the menu.

It has taken me a few attempts and many taste tests by The Family but I have finally mastered it!  The secret I found is to use both fresh & dried dill.  Don’t worry though it is not too overwhelming, it really is just perfect.  I also use a whole cup of chopped pickles.  I love the texture it adds to the dip…ok I need to make this right now.

Get to chopping…
