Happy Spooky Season Y’all!!  I am so excited that it is almost October.  As you know I am all about everything Pumpkin, but really I am all about anything Fall and that includes the spooky season.  To amp up our Halloween sweet table this year I decided to bring a classic but make it a little spooky. Classic … Classic … Classic Sometimes it is good to go back to a classic, simple recipe.  I am all for changing up a traditional recipe but there is just something so good about the classics.  These brownies are as classic as they get.  They are rich, fudgy, everything chocolate, topped with icing…

  • Loaded Candy Blondies

Have Ester candy hanging around?  Let’s make blondies!!! Load them up! I am blondie fan… especially loaded ones like these cookies & cream blondies and these pistachio white chocolate blondies.  Today I was craving something sweet and starting looking around and realized I had a ton of Easter candy that I had not sued so I decided to throw a lot of it into a blondie. Let me tell you… I am obsessed with these… OBSESSED!! Use what candy you have… So I threw in mini cadbury chocolate eggs, peanut butter eggs, M&M’s and sprinkles.  You could just use one kind of candy or more, if you have more… just…

Let’s take your carrot game to the next level with these Herb Roasted Carrots! Fancy them up a bit… Carrots are a staple.  The little ones are perfect for quick snacks and lunch boxes.  You can roast them up super quick for weeknight sides.  Throw them into salads, in stir fry or in desserts. For the Holidays though we like to maybe give them a little extra love and fancy them up a bit with some Herbs de Provence and maybe some extra butter… I mean it is the holidays after all.   If you do not have Herbs de Provence on hand you can use any combo of herbs…

Are you a reuben fan? Are you a fan of grilled cheese.  I love them… they can be simple… some with meat, some with multiple types of cheese, thick bread, thin bread, fancy bread.  However…I just love grilled cheese. Closed or Open? There is a great delicatessen here is Houston call Kenny & Ziggy’s.  This is the first place I ever experienced The Rueban.  I am almost embarrassed to admit this but it was about 12 years ago that I fell in love with this amazing sandwich.   It all started with a shopping trip to the Galleria with my brother for my sis-in-love.  Afterwards we went to Kenny &…

Sugar Cookies have never been better than these Gluten Free Sugar Cookies!  Yes… Gluten Free and they are AMAZING! The Great Sugar Cookie Debate… Are you a thin & crispy sugar cookie person or a fluffy and chewy sugar cookie person?  For me I like both.   My MeeMaw would make me her sugar cookies every time I would come see her (you can find the recipe here), and they were thin & crispy and SO GOOD!  Like super yummy, I would eat all of them and not share with anyone. On the other hand we had a family friend who would make more of a lofthouse kinda cookie with…

Crispy Cheese Chips are one of my favorite snacks… and they are low carb too! So Crispy There are so many options when it comes to your cheese options but when I went to the store to get the cheese slices I found a party pack of pre-sliced cheese and I grabbed it right up.  It had cheddar, havarti, colby and gouda.  I was so excited to see how each one would work. Much to my delight they all worked amazing!  All turned out super crispy just like my favorite chips. Changing it up a bit To add a little something extra to the chips I added some black pepper…

  • Roasted Rib Roast

My brother blew it out of the park this past Christmas with the Roasted Rib Roast… trust me you need to make this ASAP! It all starts with the seasoning Having a good crust on a prime rib is everything and this recipe gives you a great crust but with just a few ingredients.  To make the rub it is just Montreal Steak Seasoning and some extra pepper and that’s all.  Seriously, it is all we use and just look at that crust! If you do not have Montreal steak seasoning you can use any all purpose seasoning you have, I highly recommend a course seasoning though for a pretty…
