Spooky Brownie Bites

It is officially spooky season and that means it is time to bring out all the spooky-licious desserts.  These super quick & easy Spooky Brownie Bites are just what you need.  These are sure to make Halloween super fun!

Nephew to the rescue!

One of my favorite things is being an aunt, or Chelle Chelle, to my amazing niece and nephew.  They are literally the coolest little humans I know.  Plus they are both super smart, funny, sassy, witty, creative and have the biggest hearts.  

I love anytime I get to spend with them and yesterday I got my nephew after school for a few hours. After getting a special treat (of course) we set off to the store to get everything we needed for these Spooky Brownie Bites.  He was super excited and let me tell you he did a GREAT job.  Even better I didn’t have to do very much at all.

Quick… Easy & Spooky

The beauty of these spooky treats is that there is no baking involved.  Yes you read that right.. NO BAKING.  I bought the little brownie bites at my local grocery store and then topped each with a big marshmallow and then melted jarred icing in the microwave and voila!  

It really can’t get much easier.  Not only are they easy but they are also super fun to make, especially with kids.  They love to pour the icing over the marshmallows and make the ghosts and goblins.

For extra fun I colored some of the frosting but you could use all white & make all ghosts.  Oh and if you don’t have any candy eyes you can use black frosting or sprinkles for the eyes are fun decorations.

Spooky Brownie Bites

A fun sweet treat that kids of all ages (aka adults as well)!

Ingredients

18 Brownie Bites (store-bought or homemade brownies cut into bite size pieces)

18 large marshmallows

1 can of white frosting

Decorations (optional)

Food coloring

Candy eye balls

Sprinkles

Directions

Place brownie bites on a piece of parchment paper with 2 inches between each bite

Using the icing from the can, or from a tube, put a bit on each marshmallow and gently press down on top of each brownie bite

Place the icing container in the microwave for 30 seconds, remove and stir and microwave for another 15 seconds

Remove and stir until all combined and pourable

If going to color some of the icing pour into smaller dishes

Using a spoon drizzle icing over the marshmallows until majority of marshmallow is covered, or until desired coverage is reached

Let stand for 5 minutes and then press eye ball sprinkles into icing or sprinkle additional decorations

Let stand for a total of 30-45 minutes to let icing set
