Easy Shortbread Cookies
Shortbread Cookies are my mom’s most favorite cookie. Anytime I ask her what she wants for her birthday or a holiday treat she says shortbread…and these are her MOST FAVORITE recipe. What makes them so special? First thing is the Vanilla Bean Paste. It adds a true vanilla flavor to these cookies, along with the cute little specks from the vanilla bean making these cookies look a little bit fancier then your typical shortbread. If you do not have vanilla bean pasta that is ok you can use vanilla extract, but of you can get your hands on vanilla bean extract I would. Secondly, these cookies have less powder…

I went to my local grocery store and grabbed their brownie bites, if your store does not have them, no worries use any brownies you can find and either cut them into squares or circles. Next I used the frosting in a tube and just made the cutest little dollop on top and then topped with a robins egg… and voila we are DONE!! Last minute…

Cookies & Cream Blondies
I am a BIG Blondie fan. I just love how the brown sugar caramelizes to make each bite better than the last. To make these blondies extra special I added in a few favorites, Oreos and Sprinkles! A little extra Blondies are definately good on their own but when you add in a little something extra they become AMAZING. The add-in options are truly endless. You could add in candy such as snickers or peanut butter cups. You could add in nuts or pretzels. You could mix in additional chocolate chips such as semi-sweet, butterscotch or dark chocolate. For these blondies I decided to go with oreo cookies, sprinkles…

When it comes to big family dinners the menu cam sometimes become a little overwhelming, but do not fear I am here to help. Below you will find a little something for everyone…including my favorite DESSERT! Fluff, first First let’s start with one of my brother’s favorite, Pistachio Fluff. I could eat these everyday
I think if I could only eat one thing for the rest if my life it might just be mashed potatoes. I LOVE THEM that much, especially this new mashed potato recipe. Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes. They are loaded with tons a flavor, they are rich and creamy. It’s a family thing My MeeMaw LOVED mashed potatoes. I mean she LOVED, LOVED them. She loved them so much she always said she wanted to be buried in them. She was not buried in them, but she did really love them. Her mashed potatoes were very classic with a little sour cream added in for a little extra something, and now I have taken…

bacon green bean casserole-yes I said bacon
Over the years I have come to the conclusion that you are either a fan of green bean casserole or you are not…it’s really that simple. I have always landed on the not a fan side of this debate but my brother, James, is a HUGE green bean casserole fan and asks for it every holiday…but this year it was time to take it to the next level. For my brother Most of the time my sis-in-laws mom will make it for him, but for Easter I decided to take on his request but to make it in a way that I (and the other non-lovers) would love as well.…

a little late to the carrot cake table…
I asked some of my family a few weeks ago what they wanted for Easter desserts and surprising to me a couple of them mentioned carrot cake. Now this may not be so surprising to many of you, but to me it was as I don’t ever remember this cake EVER being on our Easter buffet…EVER!! It is so much more than just a cupcake And just to make things more fun, I have never even had a bite of carrot cake, so from the start this was going to be a super fun dessert to take on. OK, now I know it is crazy that I am in…

Pistachio fluff?? Yes, please
Growing up there is one side dish that I always remember being on almost every Holiday table…Pistachio Fluff Salad. I also remember that I was never a big fan of it (I didn’t like anything green as a kid) but I knew that everyone else LOVED it). Fluff…yes please!! As I was thinking about our family Easter dinner this year I kept thinking about that green stuff that everyone seemed to love, (& my brother asked for it) so I decided it was time to make it. Now as I am sure you have realized a lot of childhood memories are a little distorted being that they are from…
