• Hello Dolly Bar

Valentines Day is just around the corner and that means it is time for everything sweet and these Hello Dolly Bars are the perfect treat.  They are loaded with tons of flavor with a little something for everyone. Brining back my Childhood  Growing up my mom would make these bars ALL THE TIME.  These were her go to dessert.  She would bring them to friends homes for get togethers, they were on every holiday dessert table and all our church pot lucks.   As a kid I hated coconut but I LOVED these bars… there is just something so special about them, especially when my momma made them. Options, Options…

  • M&M Dream Bars

Dream bars or as we called them growing up, Hello Dollies, have been a favorite dessert in my family as long as I can remember.  They are rich, buttery and loaded with tons of flavor.  Later this week I will be posting the more traditional dream bar but this M&M version is perfect for any holiday, especially Valentines Day! M&M overload My favorite M&M’s each year are the Valentines Day ones.  I love all the pinks, red and white in one bag.  This year M&M’s took it to the next level with these BIG M&M’s with messages from Cupid on them.  They are everything you love about M&M’s but only…

  • Espresso Brownie Cookies

Happy 1st weekend of 2019.  I cannot believe it is already almost a week into this new year.  To celebrate making it through the week I made these Espresso Brownie Cookies.  Now I know they are not KETO, but they are pretty amazing and a perfect treat before I jump back on the KETO train next week. Brownies or Cookies? Do you ever have a hard time deciding between a brownie or a cookie?  Yes?  No?  Well I do…except not anymore.  This cookie/brownie is everything you love about both in one quick recipe.   They are fudgy, rich and super chocolaty with a hint of espresso in each bite.  …

  • Cranberry Pistachio White Chocolate Shortbread

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE shortbread.  Anytime there is a shortbread option on a cookie platter that is the one I go for first.  There is just something so decadent in each buttery bite. So much yummy I am a happy girl with just a plain shortbread (like this one), but for the Holidays I decided to amp it up a bit with a little extra something.  To start with I wanted a little something tart and pretty so I added in one of my favorite holiday tasted, dried cranberries.   Next for a little crunch I went with another favorite, pistachio’s.  I love how they taste and how they look,…

  • Fall Brownie Bites

I cannot believe that Halloween is tomorrow… YES TOMORROW!  Each year we have a big family dinner with chili and yummies and this year I asked if I could do it all.  And then life happened…so I had to come up with something quick and easy that is super fun and super cute.  These Fall Brownie Bites are the perfect last minute treat everyone will LOVE! Store bought and so good Due to my lack of time I went to my local grocery store and picked up everything I needed… yes EVERYTHING, even the brownie bites.  Now if you have time feel free to whip up your favorite brownie recipe…

  • Triple Chocolate Cookies

IT IS FINALLY FALL!  I love all the fall colors, the pumpkins, the leaves, the scarecrows…all of it.   I even love some of the scary parts of Fall, like googly eyes and a goblin or two…but nothing too scary.   To welcome in everything fall and celebrate a little of the scary I give you Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies.   For the record… these cookies are good anytime of year, I just really love how awesome they are with the fall colored M&M’s and the eye ball candy.  All the chocolate I love, love, love chocolate.  Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate, bittersweet…I love it all.  For…

  • Pumpkin Sugar Cookies

September is in full swing and that means it is Pumpkin Spice Season…right?  To celebrate everything pumpkin, I had to make these Pumpkin Sugar Cookies.  They are my new favorite sugar cookie!! Not too much Pumpkin Ok I know that sometimes pumpkin spice can over power everything and become too much, but not in these cookies.  There is just enough hint of spice, without being in your face pumpkin pie spice.   If you wanted more spice you could add in an additional 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to make them more like a pumpkin snickerdoodle. Grab a glass This cookie batter does not spread so it is important to press…

I’m in love with pumpkin and I L.O.V.E. dark chocolate even more  and I love them together.  I first had this combo last fall in a muffin, and it was so good I decided to run with it in a bundt cake.   I love the spice and the chocolate together.  The bitterness of the dark chocolate really helps to…

It is all about the peaches Being that I live in Texas we have some AMAZING peaches each summer.  We are known for many things in Texas and Hill Country peaches are definately one of them.  They are sweet, juicy and tender.  Recently I had a good friend bring me back a box full of delicious Hill Country peaches and I couldn’t wait to break into them and make this cobbler.
