Skillet Brussels Sprouts and Bacon
Skillet Brussels Sprouts and Bacon are the perfect quick side for dinner tonight. Literally can be ready in 20 minutes!
KETO baby!
I love this side not only because it is Brussels Sprouts (which I LOVE) but it is also KETO friendly, oh yeah and there is bacon. I mean I am not sure it can get any better than sprouts, bacon, butter and super quick and easy.
PS… The flavor is AMAZING!
One pan and done
I love when a dish is made all in one pan, and this time was all about the skillet. First you fry up the cut up bacon and then quick sauté the sprouts in the bacon grease and some butter (because why not) with a little salt & pepper and voila you are done.
If you wanted to add in some additional veggies, such as a little bell pepper, garlic or onion go for it…just make sure to add them in for the carb count.
So pretty
I also love this dish because it is so pretty. The green is vibrant and the bacon just adds the perfect lunch of color making this a dish that everyone will not only love with their tummies but also with their eyes.
I little sneaky trick I play is making veggies, such as brussels sprouts, that some people don’t love look so good they have to try them. I find also that adding bacon to it also seems to help (unless you are my amazing BFF is Ft. Worth who doesn’t cows pr pigs, but I still love her). If you are in the no bacon camp as well, you could leave it out and use olive oil and butter to sauté the sprouts in with additional veggies and spices. A little chile powder to cayenne pepper to spice them up would be amazing!
