Bacon Brussels Sprouts

A side dish can truly make or break a meal…but this quick Bacon Brussels Sprouts dish will make any meal AMAZING!

Super Easy

The beauty of this side is with a few simple ingredients and one pan you can create a side that everyone is sure to love…even those that are not big brussels sprouts fans.  To amp up the flavor I cooked the sprouts in the bacon grease which not only helped to caramelize them perfectly but also added a ton of bacon-y (it’s a word I promise) goodness to each bite.  It also meant that everything was cooked in the same pan, making clean up even easier!

FYI…If you do not have bacon on hand you could use pancetta or bacon grease.

Just a few ingredients…

To make this recipe even better there are only 5 ingredients… yes ONLY 5 ingredients.  Bacon, butter, salt, pepper and of course brussels sprouts.

If you wanted to add in some additional seasoning you could, such as garlic, chili powder or all purpose seasoning of your choice.

Oh… the charred bits

I love when brussels sprouts cook when they get the charred bits on the leaves.  It adds a little extra crispiness to the dish and I just love how they taste.

If you are not a charred fan just lower the temp and toss then around quite a bit and take them out as soon as they start to brown on the cut side.

The perfect side for dinner tonight
