Monster Cookies – The Halloween Version

Monster Cookies are my new favorite Halloween treat.  I mean just how adorable are these little yummies??

SPRINKLES & MORE SPRINKLES

I am all about a fun sprinkle for any and all occasion.  I have an entire section in my pantry dedicated to my sprinkle obsession.  My niece and nephew love them as well and want to decorate cookies almost every time they come over just so they can use them.

For these cookies I went with a variety.  As seen above a traditional halloween blend of orange, green, black, purple and white and then a pink, green and white version as well for the purple cookies.  I also did an orange, black, white and bat version for the orange cookies.

For Fall I am ordering leaf sprinkles and for Christmas… well there is just so many.  Make sure you check back and see what fun options I find.

COLORS EVERYWHERE!

I am so loving this cookie dough because not only is it just plain delicious but it also takes food coloring really well and gives you a rich colored cookie.  There are other recipes I have used that don’t really absorb color this well, but this dough is perfect for a darker, richer colored cookie.

For my Halloween cookies I went with a deep purple and a good orange.  I used these gel colors as I find the colors to be more than others I have used.

MONSTER COOKIES & EYEBALLS ARE A MUST

When I was deciding on my Boo Bag treats for this year I wanted to make sure and have a cookie that I know the kids would love and then I found these eyeballs.  I JUST LOVE THEM!  I used big ones for the cookies and then the small ones for my Boo Bark.

For the cookies I used a eyeball with lashes (I mean HOW CUTE) and then some without.  Fun story… my mom has worn flash eyelashes forever and when my niece saw the eyelash cookies she said they reminded her of Honey (that is what the kids call her)… so I guess in the end I made Monster Honey Cookies.
