Air Fryer Chicken – Your Go-To Chicken
Do you have an Air Fryer yet? I mean everywhere I look I am seeing new recipes, new tips and tricks & people raving about their air fryer. I resisted on getting one as I just didn’t want another small appliance taking up space, but then I started seeing everyone rave about the Air Fryer Instant Pot Lid. And let me tell you, I am so glad I did.
Better than store bought…
The beauty of making a rotisserie style chicken at home is that you can season it just how you want. You could use lemon pepper, or cajun, or just salt & pepper. This time around I used a course steak seasoning and LOVED it!
You could also spice it up a bit with a little cayenne and chili powder… just make sure to not over due it.
Just the right size
For my 8qt Instant Pot I used a 4 lb chicken and it just fit. Next time I will look for a 3 1/2 lb chicken.
You want to make sure that the skin is all intact if you can, and also make sure and wash out the cavity. A good friend of mine skipped this step and didn’t realize part of the neck was still in there. It didn’t ruin it but it definately didn’t enhance it either.
Perfection
This is straight out of the pot, no additional broiling needed. The skin is crisp enough, the chicken is still juicy and it is cooked to perfection.
I would typically buy a store bought chicken each week to use on salads or a quick casserole for dinner, like this King Ranch Chicken Casserole, but if I have my choice I don’t think I will buy another rotisserie chicken. It really is that good!
Time to use your Air Fryer!
