no oven space needed for this ham
Easter is this weekend and that means it is time to start planning the menu and trust me this ham is a must have for your Easter get together. I don’t know about your family but Easter always mean ham to us. We used to buy it from that Honey Baked place and it was crusted with this delicious sweet crust and as delicious, but also expensive so this Easter I decided to try to fix one myself.
No oven needed
There are tons of ways to fix a ham. Some recipes call for maple syrup, some for pineapple slices, or pineapple juice, while other just have a spice rub…for me I like to combine a little bit of everything to create a tender and delicious ham that is all cooked in my slow cooker, keeping my oven free for all the delicious sides (check back later this week for some amazing side options).
To give it a hint of sweet I started with some honey & brown sugar then I added in some brown mustard for a little of spice along with salt, pepper and the surprise of pumpkin pie spice. Yes pumpkin pie spice…just trust me.

Since it is already cooked, you really are just letting it heat through while adding some flavor to it, so I made sure to baste the ham every 30-45 minutes with the juices that were forming in the slow cooker. Not only did it keep it super moist but it also gave it a nice little crust as it cooked.
Trust me this ham is as good as any you could buy and it is all done in the slow cooker keeping your oven free which is always a good thing on Holidays in my home.
This ham is not only delicious but it will make a perfect main dish for your Easter dinner or any spring time get together you will be having!
