• Monster Cookies – The Halloween Version

Monster Cookies are my new favorite Halloween treat.  I mean just how adorable are these little yummies?? SPRINKLES & MORE SPRINKLES I am all about a fun sprinkle for any and all occasion.  I have an entire section in my pantry dedicated to my sprinkle obsession.  My niece and nephew love them as well and want to decorate cookies almost every time they come over just so they can use them. For these cookies I went with a variety.  As seen above a traditional halloween blend of orange, green, black, purple and white and then a pink, green and white version as well for the purple cookies.  I also did…

  • Pumpkin Espresso Bundt

Pumpkin + Espresso makes me a happy girl.  And yes, I know it is only September but in my world it is pumpkin time.  I mean honestly it is pumpkin time all the time to me but I can at least now post it and it seem somewhat “normal”. Pumpkin, please I love pumpkin anything and everything, and I can eat pumpkin anytime, especially this bundt cake.  The pumpkin makes the bundt cake super moist without making it heavy and then with the addition of the pumpkin pie spice gives it just the right amount of warmth in each bite. If you didn’t want to use the pumpkin pie spice you…

All about the browned butter… I love a good blondie but these blondies are next level.  Why?  You ask… it is all about the browned butter.   Browned butter really does make all the difference.  It adds a nutty…

  • Cookies & Cream Blondies

I am a BIG Blondie fan.  I just love how the brown sugar caramelizes to make each bite better than the last.  To make these blondies extra special I added in a few favorites, Oreos and Sprinkles! A little extra Blondies are definately good on their own but when you add in a little something extra they become AMAZING.  The add-in options are truly endless.  You could add in candy such as snickers or peanut butter cups.  You could add in nuts or pretzels.  You could mix in additional chocolate chips such as semi-sweet, butterscotch or dark chocolate.   For these blondies I decided to go with oreo cookies, sprinkles…

  • Cranberry Pistachio White Chocolate Shortbread

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE shortbread.  Anytime there is a shortbread option on a cookie platter that is the one I go for first.  There is just something so decadent in each buttery bite. So much yummy I am a happy girl with just a plain shortbread (like this one), but for the Holidays I decided to amp it up a bit with a little extra something.  To start with I wanted a little something tart and pretty so I added in one of my favorite holiday tasted, dried cranberries.   Next for a little crunch I went with another favorite, pistachio’s.  I love how they taste and how they look,…

  • Spiced Molasses Sandwich Cookies

I have a new favorite cookie… Spiced Molasses Sandwich Cookies!  Trust me… you will LOVE them! The perfect blend The cookie itself is quite sweet, especially with the course sugar, but the pumpkin-butter buttercream is the perfect balance.  It is just a little sweet with a good bit of spice making each bite the perfect balance.   If you are planning on just eating the cookies and not making them into sandwich cookies you could leave off the sugar until right when you bring them out of the oven.  That way the sugar is just on the top and not on all sides. Sugar options When I roll cookies in…

  • It’s more than just a gingerbread man

This past weekend I got to watch my niece and nephew for a night and making cookies was on the menu for sure.  Not too long ago I was at World Market and found this great pack of sprinkles that had a little bit of everything from cinnamon dots to metallic sprinkles and everything in between. My little helper is the BEST EVER Anytime I can get my nephew or niece into the kitchen to help it is so much fun.  Wes had made gingerbread cookies at school the previous week and he wanted to show me how to do it, so I got him right up on the counter…

An apple a day… The old saying goes “an apple a day will keep the Dr away”.  This delicious side may not keep the Dr away but it will make you feel VERY good.  If you would have asked me a month ago if I would put apple in my dressing I would have said NO WAY, but it has changed. Our sweet friend Andrea said she wanted…
