• Classic Iced Sugar Cookies

These Classic Iced Sugar Cookies are a MUST MAKE this Holiday Season.  They are super tender, topped with a delicious icing with hints of vanilla bean in each bite and fun sprinkles.  A perfect Holiday treat. No rolling here One of the things that annoys me about sugar cookies is having to roll them out.  Rolling pins and I don’t have the best relationship.  I tend to roll things too thin, or not thin enough…it just never seems to be right.  With these cookies though there is no rolling…that is one of the reasons why I love these cookies. I also love how tender they are.  Not so fragile they…

  • Santa’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cookies are a must make for all the time, but especially during the Holiday Season.  These Santa’s Chocolate Chip Cookies are always at the top of my list. A little bit for Everyone For me a good chocolate chip cookie is a little crispy on the edges, soft in the center and loaded with tons of chocolatey goodness.   My families favorite chocolate chip cookies are these, but let me tell you after they have these cookies they might just change their minds. Not only are these cookies crispy and soft but they are also loaded with tons of yummy.  First I used semi-sweet chocolate chunks and then I threw…

  • Cranberry Shortbread Bars – A Holiday Treat

Cranberry Shortbread Bars are the perfect Holiday treat!!  They are a little sweet, a little tart and surrounded in a buttery shortbread… it doesn’t get much better! Cranberry Goodness in each Bite I have always been a BIG, BIG fan of cranberries.  I love them dried and use them in lots of recipes, such as this Pumpkin Cranberry Pistachio Bread, but I also love fresh ones.   There is just something about the tartness in each cranberry but then also the burst of sweet flavor you get at the same time.  I use fresh cranberries each Thanksgiving for my Spiced Cranberry Sauce but I also love, love them in pastry.…

  • Salted Caramel Brownies… YES PLEASE

Salted Caramel Brownies make me happy… like giddy happy.   I have tried several recipes and all are good (like these) but this is the BEST in my opinion. Caramel Yumminess… Salted Caramel is a must in my life.  I love it on ice cream, poured over cheesecake, dip fruit in it and of course drizzle into super fudgy and delicious brownie batter.  There is just something about chocolate and caramel together. I usually make my own salted caramel sauce but for these brownies I used this Salted Caramel Sauce.  I love it because it is thick and super creamy, and holds up well as it is baked.  You can…

PISTACHIOS & CRANBERRIES GALORE! I am all about a traditional pumpkin bread but this loaded pumpkin bread is just so, so good.   I have always loved cranberries with pumpkin but for some extra fun I wanted to add in some pistachios.  Pistachios are a favorite for me with cranberries, as in these cookies.  The cookies are SO GOOD I knew…

  • Monster Cookies – The Halloween Version

Monster Cookies are my new favorite Halloween treat.  I mean just how adorable are these little yummies?? SPRINKLES & MORE SPRINKLES I am all about a fun sprinkle for any and all occasion.  I have an entire section in my pantry dedicated to my sprinkle obsession.  My niece and nephew love them as well and want to decorate cookies almost every time they come over just so they can use them. For these cookies I went with a variety.  As seen above a traditional halloween blend of orange, green, black, purple and white and then a pink, green and white version as well for the purple cookies.  I also did…

  • Pumpkin Butter

OK… I have a sad story about pumpkin butter.  As I am sure you know by now I am a BIG, BIG pumpkin fan.  One of my most favorite pumpkin treats is pumpkin butter, but when I went to buy some the other day at Trader Joes they were out!  There was none to be found… NONE!! MY Pumpkin Butter Obsession So it all started back 10+ years a go when I was aimlessly wondering through Williams Sonoma one October day.  This very sweet lady came up to me and asked if I would like to try some pumpkin butter.  I mean she had me at the word pumpkin but…
