Honey Balsamic Sprouts – a perfect side
Balsamic + Honey + Sprouts have NEVER been better… and trust me I KNOW!
Surprisingly Simple Sprouts
It is no surprise that I am a big fan of brussels sprouts, but these sprouts in particular are a favorite. Even better, they are really simple to make.
First you start with simply roasting them with a little olive oil and seasoning. Then as soon as they are cooked you drizzle them with a balsamic reduction and honey… and voila, they are DONE! I told you super simple.
A little honey sweet… just a little
I know sometimes when you use honey as a drizzle it can be over powering, but not with these. The bite of the sprout with the tanginess of the balsamic reduction really just balances out the honey.
The honey is really just a subtle sweetness that adds a little something extra to each bite.
There is also the balsamic reduction… I am ALWAYS a fan of a balsamic reduction… ALWAYS!!
A perfect sprouts side
Sprouts are always a good side, but these Honey Balsamic Sprouts are a perfect side.
Why, you ask? Well let me tell you…
- They are easy to make
- Something different than just another roasted veggie
- The leftovers are just as good as the original dish
- They are pretty.. so pretty
Holidays are coming
The Holidays will be here before we know it and these will be on my holiday tables for sure. The little extra something they have are decadent & special but still simple, making them a perfect holiday side.
I mean let’s be honest, simple dishes for the holiday’s are always a great idea. You could also use the idea of the drizzle with green beans (like these simple skillet green beans) or asparagus if brussels sprouts are not your thing. The drizzle is just always a good idea (in my opinion).
