
Salted Caramel Brownies… YES PLEASE
Salted Caramel Brownies make me happy… like giddy happy. I have tried several recipes and all are good (like these) but this is the BEST in my opinion.
Caramel Yumminess…
Salted Caramel is a must in my life. I love it on ice cream, poured over cheesecake, dip fruit in it and of course drizzle into super fudgy and delicious brownie batter. There is just something about chocolate and caramel together.
I usually make my own salted caramel sauce but for these brownies I used this Salted Caramel Sauce. I love it because it is thick and super creamy, and holds up well as it is baked. You can use whatever sauce you prefer, but this one is what I prefer for store bought options.
Jazz it up a bit…
To make these brownies stand out even more I added in a little espresso powder. Yes, you read that right, espresso powder.
Espresso powder intensifies the chocolate yumminess. It adds that little extra something that people will talk about, but they will not know what it is. Don’t worry though the brownies will taste like a mocha… it is just a little extra something yum.
Now if you don’t have any, or don’t want to use it, no worries. The brownies will still be AMAZING they will just be even more AMAZING with it.
Just a little sprinkle…
Just a little sprinkle of sea salt at the end goes a long way. It adds just that bit of extra something that takes these brownies to the next level.
Oh yeah, it also is pretty…and that is always a good thing.

For a stronger espresso flavor use 3 teaspoons espresso powder. I love a hint of it in each bite, but don't worry it is not too much...my niece and nephew love these brownies.
