Blondes (& blondies) really do have more fun

One of my most favorite times of the year is when the Easter M&M’s hit the store shelves.  I just love them so much…the colors are so pretty, there is pink involved and it also means Spring is coming and the cold weather is leaving.

So to celebrate my favorite M&M’s I decided to make them a star in these beautiful blondies.

M&M Fun

I have always loved a blondie.  They are sweet, light with the perfect hint of chocolate but these M&M blondies are even better than a more traditional version…they have M&M’s in them which makes them AMAZING!  To make these super yummy it starts with butter and brown sugar (with some white sugar).  I mean there is just something so great about brown sugar.  I could use brown sugar instead of white sugar in almost everything.

I just love the richness it brings to baked goods and these blondies are a great example of how great brown sugar can be.

Yes, there are some options

If you didn’t want to use the M&M’s you don’t have too (I don’t really understand that, but I will still love you),  you could use chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, toffee chips or another favorite candy….the options are endless.

Even better combine a few together to make it perfect for you and your family.  And of course, use this recipe as the seasons change with the changing M&M colors…that way you always have a season ready dessert at your fingertips.

Trust me blondes really do have more fun and these blondies bring a ton of fun to party (or just your weekend)!
