• Grilled Summer Veggies

I am still all in on the summer veggies that are everywhere right now and so to celebrate them I heated up to grill to let them shine. It is still summer  Y’all I know I am so ready for cooler weather (& pumpkin spice everything) but one of the best summer things happening right now are the veggies.  There are some amazing veggies happening at the farmer’s markets and grocery stores. The zucchini is amazing, the squash is just so good, then onions are the perfect sweetness, broccolini, asparagus everywhere & the corn… y’all THE CORN!  PS… more corn recipes coming, I cannot get enough. Summer Lovin & Everything…

  • BBQ Chicken Skewers

Skewers are a BBQ must… am I wrong? Time to Marinate! I am all about a good marinade when I am going to be grilling meat.   For this marinade it is really simple … just your favorite BBQ sauce & some spices.  Yep, that’s it… BBQ sauce & spices.   SO… which BBQ sauce you ask, well let’s talk about that. I love my Homemade BBQ sauce, but I am also all about Salt Lick BBQ sauce.  If you are from Texas you know what I am talking about for sure.  Salt Lick is this amazing BBQ joint in the Austin area and there sauce is just so, so…

  • grilling fun all summer long

One of my favorite things about summer is grilling.  I will grill pretty much anything in the summer…I mean it.  This summer we have already grilled burger, steaks, veggies, peaches and even bread…yes I said bread.    Trust me grilled bread is AMAZING!!  Even better than grilled bread is this Grilled Pork. Quick & Easy  Not only is this pork delicious but it is also CRAZY easy.  So easy it is only 3 ingredients.  Yes only 3 ingredients.  All you need is the pork tenderloins, olive oil and course seasoning salt.  Thats it and then onto the grill it goes. Before you know it you have dinner done. It is…

  • Weeknight Grilling Goodness

I am all about the grill in the summer.  I will do anything to not have the oven on heating up the house.  So whether it is pork, steak or chicken I want it cooked on the grill as often as possible.  I love it even more if the sides can be cooked on the grill as well. With this Grilled Veggie recipe, my kitchen may get a 3 month break. SO many options As I was walking through the farmers market a few weekends ago I was blown away by all the great produce.  There was summer squash, zucchini, baby eggplants, peppers, onions…and so much more.  I couldn’t pick…

  • A steakhouse night at home in no time

It is no secret that I love going to a nice steakhouse for a wonderful dinner, but it is even better when you can everything you love at home.  ANYTIME you want!!   Bringing the steak home To cook a nice steak dinner at home I like to go with a nice strip steak or a filet.  I am a no bone steak kinda girl…but my rancher brother (& the other one too) is all about a bone in ribs eye.  It is all up to you, just adjust cooking time as needed for thickness and desired doneness. To be rare or not? How do you like your steak cooked?…

  • Ribs by James…

My brother James and my mom are HUGE fans of ribs.  Anytime we go eat at any of our local BBQ joints (which we have several of here in Texas) they always order ribs.  Me, I am more of a brisket and sausage gal, but that is for another day and another recipe.   It is RIB time OK… now back to the ribs…being that my brother loves ribs & he loves to grill and smoke things he took it upon himself to make the best ribs ever…and I will admit they are really, really good. He experimented with several variations of this recipe but finally found the perfect combo of…

  • Valentines at home

Valentines Day is almost here and I don’t know about you but I love to have a special dinner at home rather fighting the crowds…and this year it is all about steaks. Not your ordinary steak The Hubby loves steaks, and is always up to grilling his favorite cut of meat but this time it is going to be so much more than just a grilled steak…he just doesn’t know it yet. First off we need to season the steaks.  Most of the time I like to keep things simple with just a little salt & pepper but for this steak I want something a little different so I am going to add…

  • grilling in the winter (I live in Texas)

One of the best parts of living in SE Texas is that we can grill out year round.  It was in the 30’s last week and now we are in the 60’s.  Tomorrow will be in the 70’s.  Gotta love Texas!! A little sweet We are HUGE fans of honey mustard anything.   I may have been known to judge restaurants by how much I like their honey mustard.  Needless to say this Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken has to be good. To make the perfect honey mustard marinade I started with equal parts mustard (I used dijon) and honey.  Then I added in a little mayo for some extra creaminess, some…

  • Grill the weekend away…

What are your plans this weekend?  Are you taking a little time away?  Hanging out with friends and family?  Are you grilling?  In my house we will be grilling for sure…and who knows what else. Whats on the grill? Are you doing burgers (like these sliders)?   How about those fries I posted yesterday?  Maybe some BBQ chicken or fish?  The possibilities are really endless, including the beginning of a delicious dessert like these grilled pineapples. This last week The Hubby branched out a bit and threw some veggies and sausage links on the grill…and it was AMAZING!! Sausage? The Hubby and I love Costco.  We get everything from meat…

  • grilled BBQ chicken at it’s best…

Cooking on the grill is one of my most favorite things ever!  Let me be clear…when The Hubby cooks on the grill it is one of my most favorite things…especially when it is this chicken!! Start it off right I start this BBQ chicken off with my most favorite marinade.  I find it gives the chicken a lot of flavor and also helps to tenderize the chicken a little. If you do not have time to marinade, thats ok, just make sure to season it well. What cuts are best? With chicken there are so many options.  You could grill chicken breasts, drumsticks, thighs to the whole leg quarter.  Whatever…
