M&M Dream Bars

Dream bars or as we called them growing up, Hello Dollies, have been a favorite dessert in my family as long as I can remember.  They are rich, buttery and loaded with tons of flavor.  Later this week I will be posting the more traditional dream bar but this M&M version is perfect for any holiday, especially Valentines Day!

M&M overload

My favorite M&M’s each year are the Valentines Day ones.  I love all the pinks, red and white in one bag.  This year M&M’s took it to the next level with these BIG M&M’s with messages from Cupid on them.  They are everything you love about M&M’s but only bigger and better.

To add even more M&M goodness I also used the regular Valentines Day M&M’s as well… trust me there is a ton of M&M goodness in each bite.

Chips, Chips and More Chips

To really amp up the decadence in these M&M Magic Bars I used semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips and peanut butter chips.  Yes you read that correctly I used 3 different chips.  

Now if you didn’t want to do that you could use all chocolate chips, or a combo of any flavor chips you prefer.  Butterscotch chips would be good, caramel chips or your favorite candy bar chunks would also be amazing.

Don’t forget the sprinkles

I love me some sprinkles.  I have them for all seasons, holidays and occasions.  Just the other day I found some of my most favorite ever.    The have x’s and o’s in pink and red with silver and pink balls with some turquoise thrown in for fun.  Don’t be surprised if you see them again before Valentines is over.

The beauty is you could use any sprinkles you have on hand.

Ingredients

1 cup butter
2 cups graham crackers
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter chips
1-2 cups M&M's (I used 1 cup valentine M&M's and 1 cup of the larger Cupid M&M's)
14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
Seasonal Sprinkle (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350
Line a 9x13 pan with parchment paper
In a large measuring cup melt butter
Stir in graham crackers
Press graham crackers into pan into an even layer
Sprinkle semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips and peanut butter chips over graham crackers
Top with M&M's
Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over M&M's
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges are just starting to brown
Remove and top with sprinkles, if using
Let cool in pan for 20-30 minutes before cutting
ENJOY!

Notes

You can use any M&M's you prefer, making them perfect for any season
