perfect for any celebration!!

I love chocolate chip cookies!  I mean I L.O.V.E chocolate chip cookies and have been on the hunt for the perfect one for a long time.

In the meantime I have a found a M&M Cookie Bar that is pretty amazing and SO EASY…much easier than any traditional cookie recipe I have found and OH SO GOOD!

Bring on the fun

The beauty of these bars is you can really add anything you want to them.  You can use the M&M’s like I did, or add in oreo cookies, or your favorite candy chopped up a bit.  You could also add in nuts, or butterscotch or peanut butter chips.  Some sprinkles would also be so fun!

It really is about making them perfect for you and your family. This time around I used the red, white and blue M&M’s…being it is close to the 4th and all.

Oooey, Gooey Center

The bars have everything I love about the perfect chocolate chip cookie.   They are crispy on top and ooey, gooey in the center with a perfect balance of chocolate in each bite.

To achieve the perfect center I cook them for about 22-23 minutes and then let them cool in the pan for about 15 minutes.   Trust me I know 15 minutes sounds like a long time to let these bars sit on the counter and not be touched but it really is worth the wait.  The extra time help adds a bit of crispiness to the edges while keeping the center perfect.

It is time to preheat the oven

Add in some sprinkles if you want when you stir in the M&M's for some added fun.

You can also use any flavor M&M's you prefer, I just love the red, white and blue ones for the summer
