bacon makes this party dip ROCK!

One week from today is the SUPER BOW!!  What do you have planned?  Are you starting home with just the family? Planning on having a big party? Maybe going to a party? Well, whatever your plans this dip would be a great treat that everyone is sure to love.

A classic…updated

So why this dip…well every party we have we always have the Ranch Party Dip.  The little dip packet you find in the salad dressing aisle.  And we love it, just as it is.

As much as I love it I know I could take it to the next level and what better to do that than to add bacon.  In my family bacon makes everything better and this dip is definitely better with a little bacon (& some other stuff) added in.

Add a little of this and BACON

To start with I made the dip as the package instructs, only I used reduced fat sour cream then I started adding in some other yummy stuff like a little pepper, a little garlic powder and then the chopped bacon.  I also threw in some chopped green onions, I just love the combo of bacon and green onions on a baked potato so I thought they would be a great pair in the dip as well, and I was so, so right.

The addition of just a few extra ingredients really takes it to the next level, and make is AMAZING!!

Plan on making it

The key to make this dip amazing is to let it set-up after it has been mixed together for at least a hour, but really overnight is best.

We always serve this dip with a variety if chips, but it is also great with some veggies, you know for those healthy people in your life.  Really you can serve it with anything and it will be good.

I hope your weekend will be great and involve this dip somehow…trust me it will make it great for sure.
